We are looking for a resourceful, energetic problem solver that can work efficiently both individually or in a team setting, and can also interact effectively with customers and vendors when necessary.

The Electronics Lab Technician will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing and testing industrial electronic equipment.

The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded individual with an educational background in industrial controls, automation, or electronics. Preference will be given to electronic technicians, technologists, and engineers. Experience in lab repair environments would be an asset. The ability to comfortably use a wide range of tools, computers, and software would be required.

Duties Include:

  • Repairing and troubleshooting industrial electronics at the component level
  • Assisting engineering team with test stand design and implementation
  • Assisting with electronic repairs in other departments such as our servo motor lab, CNC and robotics labs


  • Minimum 3 years of experience
  • Familiar with IPC-7711C/7721C standards
  • Experience in repairing Fanuc, Siemens, Indramat, Allen Bradley Mitsubishi, and other major brands for drives, power supplies, controllers, HMI’s, PLC’s, etc.
  • Sufficient background knowledge on PCBs, electrical schematics, and electrical components
  • Previous repair facility experience is an asset
  • Proficient in the use of electronic test equipment
  • Must have a strong background in electronics
  • College or University graduate from a related program
  • Knowledge and or experience in reading technical documentation.
  • Strong oral and written English communication skills with a technical mindset.
  • Must have strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong skills with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Experience with ERP software systems an asset
  • Must be organized and punctual
  • Additional languages are an asset
